Our Purpose
- To promote high standards and ethics within the turf, ornamental and pesticide application industry.
- To collect and disseminate information and educate the members and the public, for the betterment of each.
- To work with legislative and regulatory bodies on matters concerning the turf, ornamental and pesticide application industry.
- To promote colleagueship within the turf, ornamental and pesticide application industry through social interaction, in order to unite the industry for the purpose of better serving the public.
- To cooperate with national and state trade associations and with government and educational authorities for the good of the community and industry.
- To promote the turf, ornamental and pesticide application industry in all other lawful ways.
What AMTOPP can do for you
- Provides annual winter training conference offering educational requirements to meet CEU’s.

Our Code of Ethics
- To understand and adhere to recognized principles of turf and ornamental management.
- To support and advance turf and ornamental research, technology, and education.
- To provide employee training in the safe handling and use of pesticides and monitor the safety and environmental factors relating to services performed.
- To abide by the laws and regulations affecting the industry and to promote enforcement. To acknowledge that governmental and recognized standards are the mutual responsibility of the product manufacturer and user.
- To refrain from unfair business practices by:
- Maintaining a reputation for fair and honorable conduct with employees and suppliers.
- Conducting business on the basis of Service to the public.
- Avoiding false, misleading or deceptive advertising.
Our History
During the conference of 2007, the membership voted in the additional ‘P,’ adopting it into the by-laws, forming the Association of Montana Turf, Ornamental & Pest Professionals (AMTOPP).
Today, the members of AMTOPP include a large array of disciplines within the private and public sectors of the green industry, in Montana.
The Board of Directors strives to keep the association moving into the future while maintaining the founding members’ vision.
